Secret collection!

Hi everyone! If you read my blog, you already know that i'm going to show my spring-summer 2014 collection in the event, Chihuahua Fashion Weekend! So excited! As a reward for your support in this blog, i'm going to show you a secret capsule bag collection, that i made for the event aswell. The collection is called "Clear shells", the inspiration clearly was taken from the seashells and the clear oceans. Hope you enjoy it, and please don't be shy and comment! 

Hola a todos! Si lees mi blog, ya sabrás que voy a presentar mi colección primavera-verano 2014 en el evento "Chihuahua Fashion Weekend"! Emoción! Como recompensa por tu apoyo en el blog,  te voy a mostrar una capsule collection secreta de bolsas que hice para este evento. La colección se llama "Clear Shells"; La inspiración claramente fue tomada de las conchas de mar y los cristalinos océanos. Espero que lo disfrutes y por favor no seas tímido y comenta!

Mini Creative Director Journey... (Talking about makeup!) Post #3

Maybe you were wondering what is going on with the collection that i was doing, well... good news! I almost finish it! I'm so happy, i've been so stressed about it, and finally i can see a silver lining! 
The event was going to be on October 5th, but the organization had some problems with another event, and they posponed to October 19th, but that's another story. 
This time i'm coming to you with my idea of makeup i want for my show. I choosed natural shades, and very simply, fresh and sophisticated look. For the hair style i picked a messy low-ponytail. Do you catch the idea?

Tal vez se preguntan qué está pasando con la colección que estaba haciendo, bueno ...  buenas noticia! Casi la termino! Estoy muy feliz, he estado tan estresada al respecto, y, finalmente, puedo ver un rayo de luz!
El evento iba a ser el 5 de octubre, pero la organización tuvo algunos problemas con otro evento, y se pospuso al 19 de octubre, pero esa es otra historia.
Esta vez vengo a ti con mi idea del maquillaje que quiero para mi show. Elegí tonos naturales, y un look muy simple, fresco y sofisticado. Para el peinado, elegí una desordenada low-ponytail. Cachas la idea?

Mexican Roots/ Raíces Mexicanas

Talabartería; huh? strange word, doesn't it? Talabartería: it's a Mexican technique to manufacture diverse leather products. A couple years ago i took a course of this technique, and i loved it! I always wanted to design bags, and this dream came alive. This technique is unique and hancrafted, it take so long to make just one purse, but i think it worth every minute of work. I really love the vibe that this technique gives to the bags, you can mix mexican details in edgy and actual designs. So i wanted to share with you some of my creations. With the time I think i improved the technique and the finishes. What do you think?

Talabartería, huh? palabra extraña, no? Talabartería: es una técnica mexicana para la fabricación de diversos productos de piel. Hace un par de años hice un curso de esta técnica, y me encantó! Siempre quise diseñar bolsas, y este sueño se hizo realidad. Esta técnica es única y artesanal, se necesita mucho tiempo para hacer sólo un bolso, pero creo que vale la pena cada minuto de trabajo. Me encanta la sensación que esta técnica ofrece a las bolsas, se pueden mezclar detalles mexicanos en diseños vanguardistas y actuales. Así que me gustaría compartir con ustedes algunas de mis creaciones. Con el tiempo creo que he mejorado la técnica y los acabados. ¿Qué piensas?

Jeffrey Campbell: Shoe obsession!

Have you ever heard about Jeffrey Campbell shoes? It seems like this shoes are attacking my mind constantly, I see them everywhere, youtube, pinterest, blogs... literally everywhere. So i did my homework and investigated about these famous shoes that everybody are talking about. 

I don't wanna say that i love them or hate them yet, because at first sight i'm really not into them. But always this happen to me; i see something and at the begining i don't like it, but later (like a month, even days) i love it and want it . 

To be honest, i think i already like a couple pairs, the subtle ones.

What do you think about this shoes? too much? too trendy? love them? hate them?

¿Alguna vez has oído hablar de los zapatos de Jeffrey Campbell? Parece que este zapatos están atacando mi mente constantemente, los veo en todas partes, youtube, Pinterest, blogs... literalmente en todas partes. Así que hice mi tarea e investigué acerca de estos famosos zapatos de los que todo el mundo está hablando.

No quiero decir que me encantan o los odio todavía, porque a primera vista, en realidad no me emocionan mucho. Pero siempre me pasa esto; veo algo y al principio no me gusta, pero más adelante (como un mes, incluso días) me encanta y lo quiero.

Honestamente, creo que ya me gustan algunos pares, los màs sutiles.

Work, work and work...

Hello there! So... this is a quick post. Maybe you don't know but i work part-time in a multicultural company named Fashionbi, headquartered in Milan Italy, which analize the impact that the fashion brands have in the social media, , what I do, is called Fashion brand analist. I love being part of the Fashionbi team, because you have the oportunity to meet awesome people around the globe and also you learn so much about the fashion bussiness. Last week i wrote an article for the Fashionbi newspaper, and today they published, so i wanted to share with you this joy! 

Hola! Este un post rápido! A lo mejor no sabes, pero trabajo medio tiempo en una compañía multicultural llamada Fashionbi con sede en Milan, Italia, la cual, analiza el impacto que tienen las marcas de moda en las redes sociales, lo que yo hago se llama Fashion brands analist. Me encanta ser parte del equipo de Fashionbi, porque tienes la oportunidad de conocer a gente alrededor del mundo y también porque aprendo mucho acerca del mundo de la moda como negocio. La semana pasada escribí un artículo para su periódico, y hoy lo publicaron, así que quería compartir este gozo!

Mini Creative Director Journey... (SNEAK PEAK MOODBOARD!) Post #2

So... as i said in the post before, it's been crazy with the creative process of my collection. But i couldn't contain my self to write another post. I'm going to show a little bit of my inspiration, a sneak peak of the moodboard. Hope you understand the concept.

People said that i have a particular style, and it`s always looking back to the golden years, and ok, i'm guilty, it's so true. I like 40's and 50's silhouette and also hippie and western (intersting mix), but i always mix it with new trends, color palettes. My subconscious always betray me, and not thinking, always dew that touch to my creations.

Bueno.... como dije en el post anterior, ha sido una locura con todo el proceso creativo de mi colección. Pero no pude contenerme de escribir otro post. Voy a enseñarte una pequeña parte de mi inspiración, una probadita de mi moodboard. Espero que entiendas el concepto. 

Gente me dice que tengo un estilo particular, y siempre es ver hacia la época de oro, y sí, soy culpable, es verdad. Me gusta mucho las siluetas de los años 40's y 50's y también el estilo hippie y western (combinación interesante), pero siempre trato de fusionarlas con las nuevas tendencias, y paletas de color. Mi subconsciente siempre me traiciona, y no pensando, siempre rocio ese toque a mis creaciones.

Mini Creative Director Journey... Post #1

Hi everyone! So this is my first post as "blogger", so i'm going to introduce myself first, I'm Nelly a "creative director in process" I like fashion, music and love!
In the beginning of this blog i'll tell the story about how i get to the top of fashion industry haha... at least how i try... So I invite you to come with me in this journey.
Sooooo... I live in this super small city in Mexico, I studied away from home for almost 4 years in Guadalajara Jalisco, was an incredible experience and the most scary experience of my life. Ok, i'm going super slow with this post.
I'm invited to this huge local event at my city called "Chihuahua Fashion Weekend" (I had to pay for space in the event). Anyway, i'll share with you the poster of myself posing for the event below. That photoshoot was the funniest thing i've ever done. But at the end of the photoshoot i was so ashamed about it, the paranoia invaded myself, asking my little sister if was me or everyone were staring at me.
The experience is going stressful, because i have to sew and do the patterns by myself (like always i do), but this time i have to prove myself that i'm capable to do more just that a normal and cute dress, this could be a huge oportunity to exposure my design and talent, and be at least at the local spotlight.

Viaje de un Mini Director Creativo ... Parte 1

Hola a todos! Este es mi primer post como "blogger", así que voy a presentarme primero, soy Nelly "un director creativo en proceso" Me gusta la moda, la música y el amor!En el inicio de este blog voy a contar la historia de cómo llego a la cima del mundo de la moda haha ... o al menos como lo intento ... Así que sigueme en este viaje.Sooooooo... Vivo en una ciudad muy pequeña de México, estudié fuera de casa durante casi 4 años en Guadalajara Jalisco, fue una experiencia increíble y la experiencia más aterradora de mi vida. Ok, voy muy lento con este post.Me han invitado a este gran evento local en mi ciudad llamado "Chihuahua Fashion Weekend " (tuve que pagar por el espacio en el evento). De todos modos, voy a compartir con ustedes el poster con mi foto para el evento. Esa sesión de fotos fue lo más divertido que he hecho en mi vida. Pero al final de la sesión de fotos estaba super apenada, la paranoia me invadió, preguntandole a mi hermanita, si era yo o todo el mundo se me quedaba viendo.La experiencia va estresante, porque tengo que coser y hacer los patrones yo sola (como siempre lo hago), pero esta vez tengo que probar que soy capaz de hacer más que un simple vestido normal y lindo, esto podría ser una gran oportunidad para la exposición de mi diseño y lo que hago, o por lo menos darme a conocer localmente.Espero que les guste el poster.
