My Favourite Designer

All creative mind have a favourite designer, someone in who we inspire, not only because his style but also for his carreer, how he grew, and how he overcame adversity.
Today i will talk about my favourite designer. What inspires me about her is not only her good style or the good technique she has for design and sewing, but also the way it was her life, despite the adversity, she overcame any obstacle.
I admire her dedication in the sewing art, how she cares about every detail, even in the socks, she would put her signature. Despite she grew in a humble enviroment, you always could notice her love for art and design.
I remember the first time i got an item from her, it was like a dream coming true. The perfect colour combination, fabrics, and design was everything to me, more than perfection. I felt in the sky everytime i wore it. The paste palette such as yellow, pink and blue transported me to a fairy tale, where i was a little doll with a gorgeous ruffles dress.
My favorite designer is the perfect example about tenacity, honesty, patience and love. A role model full of virtues, a real model that i had in my life. The responsable for my love to design, the one who come to my mind every time i want to give up from my dreams.
Couple of days ago, i visited her old studio, her old sewing machine and her buttons' collection are still there. Her drawers full of elastics, laces and needles made me wish again her company.
The only human being with who i talked deeply about armhole, sleeves and zippers. The one who told me stories about design and haute couture and taught me about design history. She, who also taught me about art and the treasures you can find in thrift stores. She, who with every word gave me a life lesson. She, who marked my life, the one who i dedicate this post; My favorite fashion designer Belén Jiménez. I called her "granny".
